I cannot sleep, my mind doth race,
With thoughts that swirl like endless chase,
Of joy and weariness, a strange mix,
Am I extrovert, or just some tricks?
This shadow lurks, a desperate plea,
To break free from darkness and be seen,
It casts a shade of shame, it's true,
Of unworthiness and a feeling blue.
But I'll not let this shadow take hold,
For I'll shine light, as I've been told,
And let the world see who I am,
No longer a bystander, but a shining gem.
So let my thoughts whirl, for all to see,
And let my shadow break free,
For in the light, I'll find my way,
And rest in peace, come break of day.
